Away from the city, in the middle of the Dolomites
Lake of Molveno, the second larger lake of Trentino, has received in 2010 the prestigious prize “Le cinque vele”– “The five sails”, published on Guida Blu –Blue Guide 2010 .
The classification, drafted by Legambiente and by the Italian Touring Club, rewards the locations which have been able to combine respect of the environment and touristic offer.
The lake of Molveno is also famous for its abundance of fish and it represents an ideal habitat for many ichthyic species which live in sweet water, for example the prestigious alpine char.
The limpid waters lick 10 hectares of beach in under lawn, a real oasis of wellness suitable for children, who will amuse themselves thanks to the equipped park, the sandbox, or with the slides of the playful swimming pool but also the boys, the girls and the adults will amuse themselves having an Olympic pool, a beach volley field, a basket field and many tennis courts at their disposal.
For people who look for an absolute relax, the best thing to do is ploughing the lake with a boat searching for a quiet beach, or travelling a suggestive path around the lake and among the woods of maples, cornels and birches.
Adamello Brenta Nature Park
Visiting the Natural Park Adamello Brenta is interpreting a travel in search of the wonderful aspects of nature, of its own colours and of the sights that the humankind marked through the traditional activities linked to the mountain.
In the mountains, which give hospitality to the brown bear, you can see and listen to chamois, deers, roes, eagles, steinbocks, foxes, badgers, martens, grouses, marmots, and ptarmigans.
The Park can be visited in complete autonomy but, thanks to the precious collaboration that, year after year, has been established with the ApT, the Pro Loco and the Tourist Consortia of the territory, the Park has confirmed itself as one of the protagonists of the summer for those who want to discover and learn about the opportunities of the area accompanied, in their own adventure, by a Park expert.
The gateway to the dolomites
It can be reached on foot, just over an hour’s walk from Molveno, or alternatively in just under five minutes with the brand new Molveno – Prade l cableway renamed “Panoramica” and opened in summer 2014.
A few meters from the arrival of the cable car is the Forest Park, a park built on trees; a series of aerial routes at different heights from the ground and with various difficulties that cross the forest, passing from one spruce to another.
The Forest Park is a recreational-sports activity that allows you to immerse yourself in the nature of the forest by putting your balancing skills to the test and having fun with family and friends.
And just a short walk from the renovated cable-car arrival station you can reach Malga Tovre and the educational farm , the ideal place to see up close cows, horses, chickens, geese, and discover their habits and little secrets.
The Pradel Plateau is also one of the most popular access gates to the various trekking routes that penetrate the heart of the Brenta group.
